Mograph High5 // 007

I spend way too much time browsing motion graphics (mograph) on Vimeo. Although, it is a great way to stay on top of the latest trends, get inspired, and connect with other like minded artists. It's kind of mind blowing how many new animations pop up each week. Both newly posted projects and older pieces that are new to me. There's a lot to sort through and not all of the pieces are worth the time and effort. I decided to start cataloging what I find and hopefully save time for others. My goal is to post my five favorite finds each week.

Here are my favorites this week:

1.

The Scaredy Swan from Burcu & Geoffrey on Vimeo.
Such a fun little piece. Great expressions from the characters that really sell the emotions. The bee squeezing out of the hive cracks me up every time.

2.

Motiontales - tell your story from Laura Dumitru on Vimeo.
The traditional frame by frame animation really makes this piece. Love how fluid everything is, especially the ending title card.

3.

Neurtul from daniel cordero on Vimeo.
So much movement. Walk cycles have so much character in them. There's a lot of detail in this one. So much to feast your eyes on.

4.

How to wish a Merry Christmas to your clients from Emanuele Colombo on Vimeo.
Love this piece. Nice clean style. Excellent keyframing. Really feel what the characters are feeling. Dance, Santa, dance! Wish this piece weren't so true though.

5.

Teach For America 'We're All In' from Man vs Magnet on Vimeo.
Really like the colors in this. The textures give it a great feel. Smooth fluid movements keep it interesting and easy to watch.
