Mograph High5 // 008

I spend way too much time browsing motion graphics (mograph) on Vimeo. Although, it is a great way to stay on top of the latest trends, get inspired, and connect with other like minded artists. It's kind of mind blowing how many new animations pop up each week. Both newly posted projects and older pieces that are new to me. There's a lot to sort through and not all of the pieces are worth the time and effort. I decided to start cataloging what I find and hopefully save time for others. My goal is to post my five favorite finds each week.

Here are my favorites this week:

1.

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD from Fausto Montanari on Vimeo.
Great style in this visual retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Really fun to watch. Nice fluid movements.

2.

Ftrack - Creative collaboration made easy from aembury on Vimeo.
This is a great example of how to take something relatively boring, give it a little motion and some eye pleasing design, and suddenly you have a neat little piece people enjoy watching.

3.

eLearning Mind from Rachael Park on Vimeo.
The "messy" style really works in this piece.  I like all of the secondary animations going on. Pencil becoming a wand and shooting out the magic is great.

4.

Piensa Seguro - Internet from studioFREAK on Vimeo.
Not really sure what this is for but I love it. Love the animation style. The character's head feels so rubbery. The opening animation is really cool. There is a whole series of these so make sure to check out the rest of them.

5.

PSCU Make Your Money Matter from firstborn on Vimeo.
This feels more like an animated short than an explainer video. Nice detail in the illustrations. The animation is nice and smooth, almost subtle. The colors remind me of old childrens books.
