Mograph High5 // 010

I spend way too much time browsing motion graphics (mograph) on Vimeo. Although, it is a great way to stay on top of the latest trends, get inspired, and connect with other like minded artists. It's kind of mind blowing how many new animations pop up each week. Both newly posted projects and older pieces that are new to me. There's a lot to sort through and not all of the pieces are worth the time and effort. I decided to start cataloging what I find and hopefully save time for others. My goal is to post my five favorite finds each week.

Here are my favorites this week:

1.

Showdown from cento lodigiani on Vimeo.
This piece is so slick. Smooth camera work.

2.

Viudas e Hijos del Rock & Roll from 2veinte on Vimeo.
Cool blend of different techniques and styles. Everything flows so well from section to section. Can't believe this is an intro for a show.

3.

A Nice Cup of Tea from Kyle Predki on Vimeo.
I love tea. I probably have about 5 or 6 cups every day while I work. This is a really smooth piece. Everything seems to float. Transitions are key and these are really well done.

4.

UPS- How to Beat the Holiday Rush from Jae Il Son on Vimeo.
Hands are difficult to animate but these are spot on. Great movement throughout the entire piece.

5.

Pause Fest ID: Scott McPherson, 2014 from Pause Fest on Vimeo.
This is just cool. I love pieces that mess with my head. It gives me a headache just thinking about how to plan out a piece like this.
