Lots of clean, simple animations this week. Knowing the animation principles makes a world of difference. Simple moves become so much more dynamic when you know the secrets.
Malala Yousafzai : Introduction from Caravan on Vimeo.
So simple yet so powerful. Malala Yousafzai is an inspiration. It's hard not to feel emotion with those visuals paired with Malala's voice and the subtle, swelling music. This is a well executed piece.
I keep seeing this spot pop up. Very clean and elegant. This encode doesn't do it justice. The pacing is great and the transitions are so fluid.
EYDAPP from Giorgos Elef. on Vimeo.
There's a ton of eye candy to be dazzled by in this piece. The transitions are the star to me, though. Seamless with lots of energy. Fun piece to watch.
Membrane from Amy Sundin on Vimeo.
I'm a sucker for good cel style pieces. I could stare at that dripping heart forever, I think.
The Alchemist's Letter from Carlos Stevens on Vimeo.
This animation deviates from the norm of this blog. It's a beautiful piece with a great story. Definitely worth watching. It's also a great reminder that places like Disney, Pixar, or Dreamworks don't have a monopoly on beautiful storytelling.
