As digital film creators we beg, borrow, and steal from content; scrapping for something we can craft into our own unique point of view. When it fails we get accused of being cheap copies, but when it works we are honored with accolades and awards. From branded content and short films to commercials and music videos; these are the three videos I found this week that are worth watching.
Charlie Winston | LATELY
from Ellis Bahl
The use of movement is stunning. The dance between choreography and cinematography seduces the viewer to keep watching.
GE "The Boy Who Beeped"
This was a commercial that I actually watched. It is a shining example of how you can create a film like experience in 2 minutes or less.
Dobré — United
from Urs Mader
I loved this music video for its use of space. The director utilized the whole frame to tell this simple story and the ending is worth waiting for.
